This is the best............period
Mad Frog is a small dark little venue in Cincy. On this night, it wasn't packed, but those who attended made up for those who didn't. A true Monsoon swept through the Mad Frog on this night. The sound quality is excellent and the music is even better. Download this one and just try to get it out of your player in less than a week. It is THAT GOOD!! These guys are THAT GOOD!! Try it out, tell us what you think.

*This* is the ONE!
I've been downloading from this archive pretty heavily for the past year or two, lots of great stuff to hear. But, and I mean this sincerely, this show is one of the best *sounding* recordings out there. The imaging is simply incredible, you can place each instrument precisely on the soundstage.
The only other recordings that I've heard so far that can match this are the Steve Kimock Band shows done by Charlie Miller/Ariel Phares and Ron Keyser's SKB stuff. Great tapers are a national treasure, IMHO.
As for the music itself, the song selection is outstanding and the interplay between the musicians is quite a treat, too.
If you only snag one New Monsoon show in your life, make sure it's this one!

Nice sound great show
Some in the band thought this show contained the best versions of their new songs which they broke out at the Holloween shows in Houston. I would have to agree. What makes this recording even better is the great sound. Instruments placed across the stereo image makes my eyes dart back and forth as leads change hands and percusive accents cut through to grab my attention.
There are a lot of good shows and recordings from this band. This is one of the best to date. If you enjoy quality recording this is a must have.
